"HI I'm MISS KYLEE"

I have over 15 years of teaching experience and truly love sharing the joy of music through in-home piano lessons for students of all ages and skill levels. I began my own piano journey at the age of 8 and participated in the Certificate of Merit (CM) program throughout high school, experiences that shaped both my musicianship and my passion for teaching.

My lessons focus on building strong technique, musical understanding, and confidence, all in a fun, encouraging, and supportive environment. Teaching in the comfort of each student’s home allows lessons to feel relaxed, personal, and inspiring—so students feel excited to learn, grow, and enjoy making music.

  • What is the monthly tuition?

Monthly tuition is $200 per student. This rate covers all weekly scheduled 30 minute lessons within the month, whether there are 3, 4, or 5 weeks. The monthly rate remains consistent throughout the year to balance months with holidays or breaks and months with extra weeks.

  • When is payment due and how can I pay?

Payment is due at the first lesson of each month and covers the entire month. Payments may be made via Zelle, Venmo, or check.

If full payment is not received within 3 days of the first lesson, a $25 late fee will be applied for that month.

  • How do charter school payments work?

If you are using charter school funds, purchase orders must be submitted before the first lesson of the month in order to hold your child’s lesson time.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

I understand that cancellations are sometimes unavoidable due to vacations, illness, or family emergencies. Virtual makeup lessons are offered for pre-arranged cancellations only, with a minimum of 24 hours notice. Makeup lessons are not guaranteed and depend on schedule availability.

  • What if the student is sick?

If the student is sick (including, but not limited to, fever within 24 hours, coughing, or flu-like symptoms), please notify me before 8:00am on the day of the lesson. We can arrange a virtual lesson via Zoom. Lessons cancelled due to illness after 8:00am will not qualify for a makeup lesson.

If the student shows signs of sickness or illness during an in-person lesson, I will end the lesson immediately, to protect the health of other students and myself—with no makeup lesson or zoom lesson offered.

  • What happens if we miss a lesson or forget?

There is a 10 minute grace period for every lesson.

If I arrive at your home at the scheduled lesson time and you are not home or are more than 10 minutes away, the lesson is forfeited and cannot be made up.

  • What are the practice expectations?

To ensure the best musical progress, students are expected to:
    • Practice assigned material 15–60 minutes per day (as advised)
    • Practice at least 5 days per week
    • Memorize assigned vocabulary, notes, and chords
    • Arrive at lessons prepared with assignments completed

  • What is expected of parents?

Parents are expected to be active participants in supporting piano practice at home. Consistent parental involvement is essential to student success. Because lessons take place in your home, at least one adult must be present during the lesson at all times.
